Ready, Set, Go…Part II
New feature rollout a huge success with more engaged shareholders, much more useful information, and more focused causes. Thanks to all.
Now let’s provide a few quick tips to better utilize the new Galt.io:
1) Invite people in and tell them to buy YOUR cause. The larger the cause, the larger the dividends.
2) Be active on the causes you own. The more updates and votes (yea or nay), the more earnings-and the sooner you reach your threshold and collect on dividends.
3) Be true to your cause(s). All votes, up or down, count towards reaching earnings threshold, so don’t be afraid to vote ‘no’ on poor, unsubstantive updates. Conversely, reward the author (they get extra earnings) for useful updates. In this way, shareholders become the ‘quality control’ dept.
We’ve only just begun at GALT.IO with new features yet to come, so keep on keeping on…
Ready, Set, Go…
As promised, the most exciting new feature on Galt.io is just a day or two away. This truly is a game changer that adds a completely new dynamic to Going Galt. We’ve introduced you to the game, you’ve collected the dividends, but now comes the chance to really make a difference. All shareholders will now be able to update any cause they own-whether they created it or not. If the update is voted on by other shareholders to be ‘published,’ then the author and the cause may receive ‘earnings.’ And the ’cause’ earnings will now be the gateway to collecting your dividends (with which to buy future upgrades for the cause, ownership in other causes, etc). However, if any particular cause doesn’t generate any earnings due to a lack of published updates, well…no earnings, no dividends. Moreover, in order for update authors to get their extra earnings, the published update must have a positive vote tally. I told you this was going to be fun! The net result is that causes aren’t just about valuation anymore, but about keeping the cause current with quality updates in the eyes of your fellow network members. Look for details soon because now the action really begins at Galt.io. Exactly what we had in mind all along.
They’re Back…
Drought in the West, floods in the East, why how far behind can another scare story be? Not very..this time it’s the Moe, Larry, and Curly version from Messrs. Hank Paulson, Michael Bloomberg, and Tom Steyer-three crony capitalists who’ve perfected the art of enriching themselves at the expense of others. Their new white paper, “Risky Business,” demands action (cap and tax) now on global warming or else! As one reviewer put it, “extreme temperatures could become a health threat…under a business as usual approach where little or nothing is done to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the Midwest could experience an additional 26 95-plus degree days by midcentury..” However, as NOAA’s own ‘historical climatology network’ graph below shows, we’re actually getting cooler..oops!Yes, indeed, climate change is happening so just imagine reading this very soon: “Summer harvests along the eastern seaboard of the U.S. were ruined by snow and ice; parts of China were devastated by flooding; the Indian monsoon season was a bust; and incessant rain in Europe created hundreds of thousands of economic refugees. Famine, disease and death stalked the Earth.” Oh, so sorry…that was a recent WSJ description of a series of volcanic eruptions in 1816 that came to be known as the “Year Without a Summer.” Translated: beware of exactly the opposite of what you’re being told: global cooling!
“Every equipment failure is not a conspiracy” — for Democrats that is.
This August marks the 40th anniversary of Richard Nixon’s resignation over the Watergate affair. Due in large part to an inexplicable 18 and 1/2 minute ‘gap’ in the tapes Nixon was ordered to hand over to investigators, the President was unable to muster the support to continue in office. Yet today when an administration which has taken every liberty with executive power and privilege somehow “loses” thousands of emails directly related to seven former IRS employees who led the agency crackdown on the President’s political opponents, we are told by apologist Senator Sander Levin (D-MI), “It is unfortunate that the IRS experienced equipment failure that resulted in several computers crashing and some email data being lost from Lois Lerner’s hard drive between 2009 and 2011. But every equipment failure is not a conspiracy.” Nixon could have used a few friends like that. Apparently, the IRS has known since February that the emails have ‘gone missing,’ but failed to inform Congress-even though House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa had subpoenaed “all documents and communications” in August of last year. Meanwhile, Lerner continues her stonewall by refusing to appear before Congress. At this point it’s fairly clear the IRS is covering up something pretty nefarious, but what the nation needs to find out is what did the President know and when did he know it. Time for a special prosecutor.
No, Blame the Media
So Nancy Pelosi is at it again, blaming George Bush for the latest Obama scandal. Really? After Fast & Furious, Benghazi, NSA domestic spying, IRS targeting of political opponents, stimulus subsidies for political allies, and the abuse of executive authority in rewriting settled law, here’s what this national embarrasment had to say on the VA coverup: “He sees the ramifications of some seeds that were sown a long time ago, when you have two wars over a long period of time and many, many more, millions more veterans…And so, I know that he is upset about it.” Friends, there is only ONE reason this administration gets by with what easily would have brought down most others-members of the press running cover for them and simply refusing to do the necessary digging. Where’s Woodward and Bernstein when you need them? Pathetic.
